Art is accomplished by seeing. Sight, more than any other faculty, determines the genius of the artist. Ability is learned, and if necessary (in instances such as partial paralysis or carpal tunnel), can be relearned. But ability without vision is mere mechanics.

The self-portrait Vision of Dreams is a graphic rather than verbal explanation of my personal vision. Our world, though modern, has not lost its wildness and wonder. Every location, rural or urban has a beauty all its own waiting to be enjoyed. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and it is within every person's grasp to see beauty. My task is simply to bring those moments, those glimmers of loveliness, within easier reach.
